Called to the Bar in 1973, J.J. Vella was until recently a partner of Vella & Associates, which merged with Grech Hyzler Tortell in 2000. His area of practice is the commercial field and is legal advisor to some of the country’s largest private companies, on whose Boards he also sits. He also represents several parastatal corporations and has recently been actively involved in the privatisation process currently underway as well as a number of public offerings on the Malta Stock Exchange.
