With Malta’s impending admission as a member of the European Union, both the private as well as the public sector in Malta is undergoing a period of change and restructuring, where the main objective is compliance with the body of rules and regulations laid down by the European Union. The Competition & EU Law Department within the firm has only been recently set up with the principal aim of servicing the other departments within the firm and creating a complementary all-round review of matters concerning or affected by the EU Acquis. In this way the firm aims at ensuring that the client’s needs are serviced in a one-stop-shop manner, and therefore cost-effectively and efficiently.
